About the Plan
The City of Los Altos is updating its Bicycle Transportation Plan, a comprehensive citywide Bikeways Master Plan. The purpose of the plan is to develop a network of bicycle facilities providing access to transit, schools and shopping, ample bike parking and other support systems for bicycle commuting and recreational riding. The Plan includes recommended bikeways and support facilities, recommended education and encouragement programs to help Los Altos residents learn how to ride confidently and safely for a variety of daily and recreational bicycling.
Please review the Plan and other information on this website. We hope you participate in the process.
The Los Altos Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will review this Plan at their April 20, 2011 meeting. The Los Altos Traffic Commission is scheduled to review the Plan April 27th. Check both agendas to confirm meeting agendas and dates.
