CITY OF BERKELEY [PEDESTRIAN MASTER PLAN]

Latest Information on the Pedestrian Master Plan Process

Open House

Open House a Success:

Approximately 40 Berkeley community members attended the Pedestrian Master Plan Open House on March 1, 2006 to provide comments on the conditions for walking in Berkeley. Community members familiarized themselves with maps, photos, and the vocabulary of pedestrian infrastructure, as well as providing input on walking destinations, routes, and problem areas.  A  public workshop will follow later in the year, and further input will be gathered at meetings and hearings held by the City’s Transportation Commission, Planning Commission, Public Works Commission, Commission on Disability, and City Council.
