The Pedestrian Subcommittee of the City of Berkeley’s Transportation Commission has been chosen by the City as the primary community advisory group for the development of the Pedestrian Master Plan. At bi-monthly meetings of the Pedestrian Subcommittee, staff and the City’s consultants will provide regular project updates, present ongoing findings, and provide project working papers to the subcommittee for review. Throughout the planning process, meetings of the subcommittee will provide a setting and an agenda for focused public input on policy issues, principles, prioritization, design guidelines and standards, and the overall content and format of the Plan. Additional Opportunities to Get Involved:In addition to the bi-monthly Pedestrian Subcommittee meetings, public participation in the planning process and commentary will be invited in 2008 at meetings and hearings held by the City’s Transportation Commission and City Council.
